Altered Portraits

After Questions:
1.) The hardest altered portrait to create was the Collage. It was hard because I couldn't find the right picture that would fit perfectly on the image. It would either come out too small or too large.
2.) The easiest altered portrait to create was the Image Overlay. It was easy because every thing fit perfectly and it was not a difficult edit to do.
3.) Altered Portraits mean the image was edited and is different than what the original picture was to a viewer. But for a photographer it means when the camera angle moves but the subject does not move.
4.) Out of the 7 altered portraits I would like to do the Image Overlay because it is fun and easy to do. Also, it also looks cool and has a cool effect.
5.) The historical significant behind one of the altered portrait techniques i have learned is to Image Overlay and turn the picture blue.
6.) It is important for me to learn how to alter portraits because if i don't like the way the image looks i can edit it and become creative. So in this way the image can catch more interest in others.
7.) All portraits should be altered because the sun or the lighting may be off a little in which your subject looks weird, you can edit it and make it look better than what it is.
8.) By altering a portrait you can edit the image to where you like it. You can make it the way you want and look the way you wan it to.
Blur Motion Pictures
** I was absent so I don't have many pictures **

After Questions:
1.) Blur motion is when you take a shot or picture of a subject and its is moving. Also, in the picture you can tell which part is blurry and what the subject is doing.
2.) I created my blur motion pictures by focusing on one thing and making the object move in some type of way so that the image is being manipulated.
3.) In photoshop I edited the brightness and contrast. Then with other images i turned the images back and white.
4.) The thing that was difficult about shooting blur motion was trying to get the image in focus, to where you can see what the subject is and what they are doing because the image would look like a big mess and you couldn't tell what the image was suppose to be.
5.) The easy part about shooting and editing this image was getting the object to spin and making the image more brighter and making the image black and white.
Still Life Project

Independent Project #1

After Questions:
1.) The type of photography that I picked is backlit silhouette. A backlit silhouette is when the back-round is lit and there is a figure in the photo that is i black while the back-round leaves the outline of the figure. In any picture of a silhouette, the figure / model can be posing in any way.
2.) To get my images I took my boyfriend and his brother, along with my new puppy and put them on a flat surface behind his house. We waited until sunset and once it was ark enough, I got them to pose in different ways, as if they are interacting with one another. Then we took my puppy and took pictures with her
3.) When I was editing the pictures I was messing with the contrast and brightness. Then, once I did not like a certain way that the sky had came out I had colored it in. Also, I went in with black ad colored in my boyfriend and his brother.
4.) The thing that I had learned about this photography is that it isn't really that easy to do a backlit silhouette when your time is limited so short. Also, I can't just go out and take a picture when the sky is too bright. But it was a fun and hard photography to do because you need to be real creative with the way the models poses in different ways.
5.) The only thing that I had found difficult is getting them to pose in different ways. Also, having them lined up with the horizon because we were higher than the horizon before and then we moved and we were below the horizon. I wanted to try and get the sunrise but it was hard and difficult for my boyfriend to wake up early so that idea did not work.
6.) I think they came out alright and decent. I just wish I had some pictures with pinks and reds but I had no models to pose for me. But I think they had came out better than what I had thought they were going to come out. I thought that the blues and purples were pretty with the yellow but I wish in some pictures that it did not have a bright, bright, bright streak going across the photo.
7.) For my next independent project, I want something to do with dogs or cats because since I got a new puppy I want to take pictures of dogs, puppies, kitties and cats. I think it will be a fun and challenging project but I'm willing to do it because I think it would be a cute project to have on my project page.
Independent Project #2

After Questions:
1.) I picked my project on Dog Photography. I got this idea from Instagram and when I took pictures with my boyfriend and his brother in my last independent project when I put my puppy in the shots. I thought this was a fun way to react with my new baby puppy.
2.) I got the images by getting my puppy and having her dressed up in a few outfits that I had from when my last dog Bella was a baby pup. But I took my puppy and I added a polk-a-dot back-round with a blanket that I had laying around. Then, I would get her and sit her or stand her in a certain way so she was comfortable and would stay.
3.) The editing that I use for my pictures is that I played with the brightness and contrast because in some images she is too bright and looks too white so I turned down the brightness and turned up the contrast. This helped me so much because it helped make her look darker and you can still see her details on her face. Since her fur is a whitish-beige, the light bounces off and makes her really bright.
4.) The thing that I learned about this kind of photography is that it isn't really easy working with dogs. Well I mean working with puppies that haven't learned to stay or sit. Its hard to get them to stay and look at the camera when they see the flash and then freak out because the light is so bright. But it is pretty fun to dress my puppy and then try and teach her to sit and stay was really very challenging.
5.) The only thing that I had felt that was difficult for me is trying to get my puppy to stay and not running off because she doesn't want to either take pictures or stay in one pose. It was difficult for me to also get her in a pose to where she will stay and be comfortable. But I solved the problem by getting her favorite bed and laying her on it and she let me move and set her paws where ever I wanted them to be.
6.) I think that they had came out good because she looks so cute. I got the shots to where she looks cute and you can see that she is the main focus point because she is white and stands out with the reds and brown. But I just wish I could've done it in a different way with the chalkboard because I didnt get to use it because she wouldn't stop liking it and knocking it over.
7.) I think on my next project I think I want to do a project on flowers and roses. I think it would be a nice and pretty thing to do and have it on my website. Also, I love the outdoors and the way that flowers and roses gloom. This would be a fun project to do because spring is coming up and I love spring.
Independent Project #3

After Questions;
1.) I picked my project on close ups of dogs. I chose this project because on my last project I got this idea and I wanted to try and do this kind of photography to switch things up a little bit. Plus I love dogs and I like taking pictures so I chose to this type of photography.
2.) The thing that I did to get my images is that I got different dogs and I asked them to sit or stay so that way I could go ahead and take the image of the dogs. I used the flash so that way their faces and features would pop out more. But I took the images of the dogs mainly with any scenery and background. I made sure they weren't looking straight into the camera so I wouldn't hurt their eyes or make them scared of the camera.
3.) The editing that I had to do was mainly mess with the brightness and contrast. I mainly had to use the contract and brightness to edit my images because it only needed a touch up because some images were too dark or seem to broad. So I would use the brightness to brighten the image and then I would do the contrast to make the features of the dogs pop out and be shown more.
4.) The thing that I learned about this type of photography is that it is hard to get the dogs to stay and cooperate with me when they would see the flash and hear a clicking noise. The dogs would be frightened by the sound and bright light, but I had found a solution for all that. It was food and using another light so that way the dog is sorta use to the bright light.
5.) The things that I had found to be difficult is that the dogs wouldn't stay or not blink. Once the dogs heard the clicking noise they were frightened and wanted to move and leave away from the camera. Also it was hard and difficult to get the dogs to look into the lens without blinking when the flash came on. Camera flash and dogs dont go together as good as I thought it would be.
6.) In my opinion they came out decent and more expectantly than what I thought that they had to turn out to be. But they are cute and I like them and i dont really see that much errors. But I think that they could've came out better if the noses and eyes and features weren't as blurry as they appear to be. But overall they came out cute and decent.
7.) For my next project I think I want to do something that has to do with the outdoors and just get away from dogs and cameras for awhile because dogs and pictures are pretty challenging and hard. But for my next independent project I want to do mirror photography because it looks very interesting to do and it looks cool. Also with mirrors you can get really creative with them.
Independent Project #4

After Questions:
1.) I did another doggy photography for my project because I just absolutely love dogs and they were there. They are so cuddly and furry. Dogs are just so adorable. But dog photography is taking picture of dogs doing something.
2.) The things I did to get my photos is that I took the dogs and we told them to sit, stay or lay and then I would shoot the picture. Usually they wouldn't keep their eyes open but when I made them look at the camera and not at the flash, or we would take a treat and snack so they would behave. Basically we bribed the dogs.
3.) The editing that I did on my photos is I messed with the brightness and contrast because some of the images are dark or they need to be little brighter. I needed to mess with the brightness and contrast because some of the pictures I thought it was dim and needed to pop out more. For example in the middle picture in the last row, her white beige fur has canceled out her face because of how bright she is.
4.) The thing that I learned about this photography is that it isn't that easy and bribery when it comes to dogs can be really really handy because it can get the dog to be obedient and listen. But other than that, it is a really neat way to play and interact with dogs. Also, it is very hard to get a puppy to listen because they get more scared than older dogs.
5.) The only thing that I found basically difficult is that the dogs seemed to be interested in the camera lens because they wanted to try and sniff it or get close to it. But I would try and focus on their face and for some reason the camera wanted to blur them out and get their eyes more than get their whole face.
6.) I think they came out decent. I just wish that they were a little better because I wanted to get them actually posing and looking really cute. I also wanted them to be in cute outfits, but the thing was that some of them didn't even have any outfits. Which that was a bummer.
7.) On my next project I want to do something that has to do with plants and flowers. I was thinking about doing long shots on some type of scenery of plants and flowers. So my idea was on going to the botanical garden or take pictures of flowers.
Independent Project #5

After Questions:
1.) For my independent project #5 I took more pictures of my dogs because I just absolutely can't get away from taking pictures of dogs. Especially taking cute pictures of my little baby, Bella. But I mainly hose to do my project on dogs because I wanted to take cute pictures of my dog and just to have them as well.
2.) The things that I did to get my images is that I look my dog and I sat her down or she was willing to lay down. Usually she would pose on her own to where she is comfortable and looks cute. She would cross her paws on her own or lay down and lay her head on her paws.
3.) The type of editing that I did to my images is that I messed with the contrast and brightness because since my dogs fur coat is black and in some pictures she turns invisible because the background is also dark. So i brightened the photo and contrasted the picture so that it would have texture to the photo.
4.) The thing that I learned about this type of photography is that it really isn't that hard to take pictures of dogs unless they are unfamiliar with the camera and flash. Also what I personally learned from this project is that my dog acts human-like because usually dogs don't pose on their own.
5.) To be honest I did not find anything difficult for this project because my dog is usually obident and she listens and doesn't get frightened if she doesn't feel scared. But the thing that I did kind of have trouble with is getting my dog to not yawn or close her eyes.
6.) Over all I think my pictures are cute and I think that they came out pretty nice because of the two bright pictures that I had captured. But other then those two images I think that they came out pretty decent and cute. And it is also the cutest picture I had taken of my dog ever.
7.) For my next project I want to get away from taking pictures of dogs and do like a mini still life but with flowers and roses. I think that would be a cute idea to do for my next project.
Independent Project #6

1.) For my independent project #6, I took close up pictures of plants. I chose this type of photography because I thought it was a cute way to start off spring. On top of that I just love roses and flowers. I was a little bummed because I couldn't find no flowers.
2.) To get my images I took the roses and the leaves and made it seem like it was a little bouquet for a wedding. But I would rearrange the plants so that way the images are different and I can get creative.
3.) The type of editing that I did to my images is that I added some color to the pictures because in some pictures I didn't like the way that they had looked. I had to add color because it looked very faint and it looked like the color was disappearing. But other then me going in and coloring I also messed with the contrast.
4.) The thing that I learned about this type of photography is that I had to get as a certain angle just take the image look it had depth within the petals. Also since I added flash, the colors would pop out more but it also made other roses fade and look faint.
5.) The only thing that I had found difficult was the flash. The reason why I had trouble with the flash was because the roses would come out to bright. Then when I shot the picture the image had a big white glare that the roses had given off but when I had adjusted myself and the camera everything turned out better.
6.) Overall I think they came out pretty decent and cute. I mean it was my first time shooting pictures with roses and flash added on top of that. The vibrant colors that the roses gave off looked so beautiful and I was really impressed. I tried getting little water drops on the petals but that was a little challenging.
7.) For my next independent project
